UCLA GLUCK JAZZ ENSEMBLE
This one-year ensemble was composed of global jazz studies majors led by five-time Grammy Award-winner Terence Blanchard. The group provided the highest quality of performance and education while developing a musical voice in composition and improvisation. This ensemble played in formal showcase settings, such as senior retirement homes, special events like the UCLA Chancellor’s Residence Recital, and professional venues like Mr. Musichead where the group opened for The Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance. Dalton Mumphrey served as ensemble leader.
